Ken Gardner
KEN GARDNER has fallen off a horse, been kicked and bitten by horses, wrangled dudes, been in a western movie, milked cows, drunk milk with flies in it, slept with wet dogs, and rolled quirlies.
Ken is a local longtime fan of western poetry. He has written or coedited three books of the same, and has taught classes of western poetry in two states.
He has appeared at Susanville, California’s Diamond Mountain Casino, the Nevada County Poetry Series at Grass Valley, California’s Center for the Arts, and Elko’s National Poetry Gathering, where he opened for Baxter Black in 2006 and was a reunion artist at the Gathering’s Silver Anniversary in 2009. He returns to the Genoa Festival for the sixth year.
