Genoa and Carson Valley are served by all weather Highways 395 and 88, with Interstate 80 and US Highway 50 serving as the connecting routes in to the area from the East and West. The area is served by commercial air service at Reno Tahoe International Airport, just 50 miles away and Minden Tahoe Airport is a fine general aviation airport (and one of the world’s finest locations for soaring, or glider flight.) that handles a wide variety of aircraft.
In late April and early May, the weather is typically warm in the daytime (we see over 300 sunny days each year), with average highs in the mid 60’s and the normally clear skies will typically allow overnight lows to drop into the low 30’s.
